Soon after his detention under Public Safety Act (PSA) was revoked, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) from Srinagar and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday said that he will prefer to maintain silence till the other incarcerated leaders are released.
According to media reports, in four-minute interaction with the media persons at his home at Gupkar in Srinagar, Abdullah, who is also the patron of regional National Conference (NC) said that although he has been set free after seven months of incarceration but, still it is not full freedom as many of the leaders are still kept under detention at different places including at MLA hostel.
Abdullah while interacting with media persons expressed happiness over his release and said that he will be completely happy when the leaders under incarceration will be released.
He, however, said that he will not make any political statement over any issue till the other leaders are released. Abdullah also thanked the people who prayed for his released in last seven months.
Abdullah further stated that “I will go to the parliament and will raise the voice there.”
